The session 988 "Through the lens of pottery: technologies in times of change in the Mediterranean basin" that we organized for the EEA 2024 in Rome was a success! It was also an opportunity to show the results of the Tecnopregypt project to scholars who do not deal directly with Egypt. We are now really close to the end of the project which will finish at the end of September with the participation in the Origins 8 conference which will be held in Krakow.

This year at Tell el-Iswid I mainly focused on the technological analysis of bread moulds to study their appearance and evolution and answer questions that arose during the first year of Technopregypt. It has also been possible to begin the study of ceramics from the Naqada IIIB-C period, which will then be developed next year.
The fieldwork at Tell el-Iswid is always an incredible opportunity for professional and human growth thanks to the director Nathalie Buchez and the members of the team

In the frame of the exhibition "Terres du Nil" we realised a short video on the predynastic pottery manufacturing techniques and on the transmission of traditions. The video is on YouTube with subtitles in English, Italian, Polish and Arabic.

The project is represented at the exhibition held at the Museum of National Archaeology at Saint Germain-en-Laye from 14th October to 8th January.
